Katina Cheewara Pooja (Robe Donation Ceremony) Fundraiser - 2018
This is a past event. This event took place on October 27, 2018
Katina is the main fund-raising event for SIBC for the rest of the year. Generous donations in the past from the SIBC members have enabled us to complete the work in the Dhamma hall and the parking lot, which will benefit the community for many more years to come. This year, we want to focus our energies on paying off the remainder of the mortgage. We have about $30,000 left in our mortgage and with your help, we would like to pay this amount off.
You can help by committing to donate a cheewara(Robe) at the Katina event. Please sign-up to donate a Katina robe by signing up below. This year, especially in view of our fund raising goal, a pledge of $200 is recommended per family but we will gladly accept any amount. Also not that the amount you pledge is not displayed to others. It’s for our information only.
We will have a fundraising desk set up on the day of the Katina ceremony. You can use a check addressed to the temple (Sarana International Buddhist Center) or cash to make your donation.
