SIBC is hosting a Sri Lanka day celebration on Saturday, February 1st 2020 at the SIBC temple premises in Tukwila, WA

Sri Lanka day celebrates the Sri Lanka independence day which falls on 4-Feb. We would also like to make this the opportunity to offer good health and blessings to Venerable Polwatte Pagnanananda thero, whose birthday falls on January 30th.

This is an opportunity to celebrate everything Sri Lanka. If you have traditional Sri Lankan clothes, please come dressed in style. Weather permitting, we will raise the Sri Lanka flag and sing the national anthem outdoors. We will screen an award winning Sri Lankan children’s movie suitable for all audiences (with English captions).

• 10.30 AM: Arrival and networking
• 11.00 AM: Buddha pooja and offering of Dana to resident monks
• 12:00 PM: Community lunch
• 1:00 PM: Raising of Sri Lanka flag with the national anthem of Sri Lanka
• 1.30 PM: Screening of Sinhala children’s movie (popcorn and tea will be served during the movie)
