Sri Lankan New Year - 2024
The Sri Lankan Sinhala and Tamil new year celebrations will be held in the SIBC premises on Sunday 21st April, from 10.30AM onwards.
Agenda for the day
- 10-10.30AM - Arrival and networking
- 10.45AM - Oil Anointing Ceremony (හිස තෙල් ගෑම)
- 11.00AM - Buddha pooja
- 11.30AM - Offering Dana to monks
- 12.30PM - Worshipping the parents (බුලත් දී දෙමවුපියන් වැදීම )
- 1.00PM - Community Lunch
- 1.30PM - Games
